One of the most ancient Caucasian settlements is the Azerbaijani city of Sheki. It is believed that it was founded in the first millennium BC. Anton Zaitsev came here to taste a dish, which is rather famous in Azerbaijan. It is called Pity Sheki - a meat dish and soup at the same time. Sounds strange, but it was banned in the USSR! The thing is that Pity Sheki is not only cooked, but also eaten according to strict traditional rules! |
