Ray is an enigmatic adventurer, a former CIA operative, with no traceable past who travels from place to place helping people in trouble, usually due to something illegal. He doesn't take money, but instead demands a favor from the person he helps, to be collected sometimes in the future. Often the favor is used to help someone else who needs Ray's services. Ray's real name isn't known, and it may or may not be an alias taken from the vintage Corvette Stingray that he drives.

She-Ra: Princess of Power is an American animated television series produced in 1985 by Filmation. A spin-off of Filmation's He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series, She-Ra was aimed primarily at a young female audience to counterbalance He-Man's popularity with young males. Unlike the He-Man cartoon, which was based on the Masters of the Universe toy line by Mattel, the creation of She-Ra was a collaboration between Filmation and Mattel. The initial group of characters and premise were created by Filmation, while the characters introduced later were designed by Mattel. Mattel provided financial backing for the show, as well as an accompanying toyline. The series premiered in 1985 and was cancelled in 1986, after 2 seasons and 93 episodes.On March 22, 1985, Filmation released an animated movie based on the series titled, He-Man and She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword. The film is composed of five episodes from the She-Ra television series: "Into Etheria", "Beast Island", "She-Ra Unchained", "Reunions" and "Battle For Bright Moon".

The bears have two modes of transportation, Cloudmobiles and Rainbow Rollers, which they fly down to earth on whenever there is trouble. They are alerted to problems by the Care-O-Meter. The Care Bears Family combined old episodes of Care Bears with new ones.

On the forest moon of Endor, tucked into a tiny village known as Bright Tree, a band of furry creatures named the Ewoks live in huts high up in the trees. Of the many creatures that live in the forest, the friendliest are Wicket, a young scout, and his friends Princess Kneesaa, Latara, Teebo, and Paploo. They live in a world filled with magical creatures. Some are good friends to the Ewoks, others are troublesome. When any of the Ewoks gets into a scrape, they all band together to help each other out.

Disney's The Wuzzles was an American animated television series created for Saturday morning television, and was first broadcast on September 14, 1985 on CBS. The Wuzzles features a variety of short, rounded animal characters (each called a Wuzzle, which means to mix up). Each is a roughly even, and colorful, mix of two different animal species (as the theme song mentions, "...livin' with a split personality"), and all the characters sport wings on their backs, although only Bumblelion and Butterbear are seemingly capable of flight. All of the Wuzzles live on the Isle of Wuz. Double species are not limited to the Wuzzles themselves. From the appleberries they eat to the telephonograph in the home, or a luxury home called a castlescraper, nearly everything on Wuz is mixed together in the same way the Wuzzles are. The characters in the show were marketed extensively.

The Berenstain Bears incorporates three central learning areas: family and community, emotional development and choices & decision-making. Each episode focuses on an ordinary, everyday situation or "challenge" that young children may encounter in the home, with friends, in the community or at school (like jealousy, peer pressure, a new neighbor, a bad grade – or lack of "quality" family time). Pound Puppies was inspired by the Tonka Toys line and centers on 11-year old Holly and her dog friends Cooler, Whopper, Nose Marie, and Howler at the Wagga Wagga Pound who work hard to find happy homes for dogs. They are opposed by Brattina and Katrina, along with Catgut and Nabbit. The series began with a one-hour special in 1985 on ABC. The Pound Puppies consisted of 13 episodes, aired Saturday mornings on ABC. It was followed by The All-New Pound Puppies in 1987.
