It’s a historical fact that in Johann Sebastian Bach, the great German composer’s life, there are a few months, between the years 1702 and 1703, where nothing is known about his whereabouts. Wanda Ordoñez, a modern day Venezuelan harpsicordist, dreams that seventeen years old Bach may have fallen in love with Lola, a beautiful Spanish young woman, and they both “escaped” society towards the “unknown”, in this case the small town of Zaraza in the Venezuelan plains…. A magical musical fusion stems from Bach’s contact with the autochtonous musicians as similarity and uniqueness mingles their art. |
