Karmu, A Place in the Sun: Auto mechanic by day, and urban shaman by night, Karmu welcomed all those in need into his house. Part West Indian curandero, masterful lay counselor, hands on healer and down to earth holy man, Karmu fed the hungry, housed the homeless and healed the sick with his herbal remedies and therapeutic massage to which he added a ‘plus element’ channeled from the cosmic arena. Quite a comedian, he lifted up the spirits of those who were depressed with his hysterically funny banter. Through the use of archival footage and contemporary testimonials from numerous professionals such as Dr. Andrew Weil and Daniel Goleman, Ph.D., the film chronicles the lasting effect Karmu has had on those he touched. |
