The narrator’s journey begins at mid-summer-night, in the solemn twilight of a peaceful lake. His written notes sound to us like recollections of a past long gone. Human bonds have all but disappeared; man lives isolated and alone now. The individual has succumbed to the efficiency of a new world. Those who refuse to accept their fate try to organize themselves: they form little islands, common interest groups in search of spirituality. And some who have simply been forgotten spend the rest of their lives in the ruins of lost cities. An album of moving pictures and fragments of texts, 3000 blends past and future, documentary and fiction, ironies and anxieties. |
