Stuck In A Jam is a Seattle-based documentary about traffic and transit, but also about related issues like the growth of the city, housing, inequality, local and state politics etc. In the past few years, Seattle has been experiencing tremendous economic growth, particularly with the rise of corporations like Amazon, but this growth has been selective in its rewards, and has come at a price: increasing inequality and cost of living, as well as rising homelessness and a surge in traffic congestion. We started out with the idea for a short film about last year’s first Proposition 1, but as we spoke to more and more people, the film evolved and is now a conversation about all of the issues mentioned above as well as local attitudes surrounding those issues. We interviewed a diverse set of people including daily drivers, bus commuters, bicyclists as well as academics studying the transit landscape, transit activists working around improving local transportation options and, finally, politicians elected to local offices. |

DaniBl : This could have been so much better if it wasn't so stereotypical. They put too much focus...
