This documentary focuses on the history of coastal Tampa Bay. Using the history from the young-adult adventure novel, ‘Egmont Passage: Tale of the Seventh Mystery,’ viewers retrace the footsteps of three teenagers who mysteriously journey into Florida’s historic past. Local historians, writers, and curators were interviewed for this mostly on-location project. Periods covered in this documentary include: Prehistoric Florida, Spanish Exploration, and mid-1800’s Tampa Bay. This is a teacher-student production from the Palmetto High School television department, in partnership with, and underwritten by, Tidal Tales Communications, Saint Petersburg. |
