A movie about two lost girls, one Japanese and the other Russian who find each other inside the very strange and dangerous Japanese nightlife scene, a coltish, money-driven nightmare world of “salary men” looking for sex and very young women trying to be free. Satomy and Mira create a tiny island of safety and love around themselves as they are pursued by bounty hunters and family members, carving out a brief and exquisite moment where they release tenderness and trust into each other’s hearts before powerful men overcome their innocence, and darkness falls. |
