Torlo (Chapter 1) is the first scene of a feature-length screenplay that follows the story of Kal, an odd character who traverses an even odder world of dream-like places and surreal moments. As he interacts with the bizarre and comic characters that inhabit the land, all with a story of their own, he is constantly confronted by the looming presence of a mysterious religion headed by a powerful leader. On a journey that takes him through alternate dimensions, whimsical landscapes, and possibly his own imagination, Kal’s starting point is in Torlo (Chapter 1) amidst a garden of red buckets, a paisley colored barn, and a small and unorthodox funeral. |
