Winter 89/90. In a central European mountain village, usually cut off from the world in winter, the only distraction are the movies. But one day the rider delivering the coils has an accident and is not replaced by the “Center”. Without film, the village is left to itself and the mayor has difficulty containing the inhabitants in crisis. Despite his son’s attempt to put together old films, the mayor decides to close the cinema, which he sees as a place of subversion. When spring returns, the village rises again with the first supply truck: the Center no longer exists, the revolution of 1989 has just taken place. |
