After seven years of searching, filming and editing, ‘XeNation?: Consciousness’ finally comes to a closure. Consciousness, omnipresence, spirit, love, divinity and God are words to describe energy that vibrates on the same frequency. This film explores that subject matter and what it takes to have a peace of mind. Filmmaker Moniere and actor Marcus Patrick travel to distant corners of the globe to document sagas, gurus, Sufis and healers on how to raise the awareness of humanity as whole, beginning with a single entity, you. It is narrated by the filmmaker who was raised a strict Muslim in Kandahar, Afghanistan and Brooklyn, New York. Studying statistics at university level had him question the existence of God, therefore denouncing himself as Muslim, renouncing himself as agnostic. He obeyed The Ten Commandments and was morally and ethically on a virtuous path, till events began to occur which were the sparks for this documentary. As he continued to search, stepping further and further away from the physical form, documenting and questioning, he became closer to God than ever before; embracing The Source as his ancestors did in various remote caves of Kandahar, Afghanistan. After his awakening, he renounced himself as a god-being, embracing every religion, every faith, every avatar, keeping his beliefs suspended at all times, while living a humble life. He learned to meditate by combining various techniques from ancient times to the present; meditating for a week straight. |
