William Fullkirk wakes up in an unfamiliar bedroom, unable to remember anything. As he explores the rooms, he assumes he’s the master of the house. However, then he witnesses a pair, Sarah and James Fullkirk, arguing. To his amazement, he sees himself engaging in a fight with James and eventually stabbing him to death. Now aware of his nightmare, William suddenly becomes the killer instead of a witness; knowing his destiny, he tries to stop events from unfolding, but instead inadvertently kills Sarah. William faces an enigmatic woman wearing white, and he tries to tell her he is sorry. The woman is revealed to be a nurse of a correctional facility. It is year 2025, and William is sentenced to relive the murder again and again. A machine called “Abyss” is used to keep him in a coma-like state and evoke his memories. The Nurse, however, is disappointed with the treatment, seeing William suffer without a chance for repentance. She expresses her concerns to the Doctor, who is the warden of the facility. The Doctor insists on continuation of the programme.
