Dobu (Kunie Tanaka), an Okkabiki (a samurai) who lives in a tenement in Shimotani, Edo, is either taking a nap or getting drunk today. Then, a series of murders targeting court nobles occur in Kyoto. Dobu is ordered by Machikoji Samon (Hira Mikijiro) to go to Kyoto to search for them. |
