We are all born with a cord—a string that binds us to life. The string brings us joy and nourishment. We are all in search for that string. Only this time, we’d like more. This film explores the life of Benjamin in the 1950s and how he gets tied up with the routine of everyday life. The literal attachments to life makes him, and us, broken puppets of broken societies. Strings was inspired by the art work of Salvador Dali. Dali’s interpretation of human life is very experimental and satirically dark. This film tries to capture a similar essence. |
