In 2019, two Brazilian women passing through Algeria decide to record their impressions of the country based on ongoing protests in the capital city of Algiers. The documentary follows a crowd of people in the Harak mass movement as they take to the streets against the anti-democratic military government in power. Experiencing the reality of the Other, within a territory that has (formally) acquired its colonial independence just a few decades ago, becomes a way of understanding reality itself. |
