Short documentary chronicling an 8 1/2 mile guerilla skateboard race down Broadway in Manhattan. Utilized multiple stationary and traveling film and video cameras to capture this real-time event, immersing the viewer in the race. Race with 27 skateboarders as they take to the street; not just any street, but one of the most famous streets in the world. A thoroughfare so well known that it doesn’t need street or avenue or boulevard after it’s name. These fanatics race down Broadway from 110th Street on the Upper West Side to it’s end at the southern tip of Manhattan. Eight and a half miles through the concrete canyons of this urban obstacle course, these daring boarders battle traffic, pedestrians and potholes with pride and passion, but without permission. This completely unauthorized event was captured by a guerilla video crew and the result is the Broadway Bomb. |
