Guss’ Pickles, a New York establishment on the Lower East Side, is the first pickle barrel stand to open in the United States. The documentary, Hello, Pickles?, profiles three employees of Guss’ Pickles: Tim who was raised in pickles; Cathy; the only woman working in pickles; and Mike, a war veteran. Through their personal struggles, we see a fragile New York community trying to find its place in an increasingly gentrified neighborhood. |
