2006 Winner of the Century City Film Festival’s Best Film Award, ‘Out of the Woods’ is about a young black man who is faced with his homophobia, while on a visit to his childhood home in suburbia. He is told that a friend is dying of an HIV related illness and wants to see him. His last memory is beating him, 16 years prior, after sexual advances were made. This film has recently been accepted to the Independent Black film Fest, and the Arizona Black Film Showcase. |
