Three men meet on a bridge. Sitting side by side they tell each other how they got there. Hans is mid-50s, unemployed and alone. His prospects for a new career are bad. He finds less and less reasons to get up in the morning. Andreas, ten years younger, is a successful businessman. But his job has alienated him increasingly from his family. Due to a shaky financial statement, he gets fired. Marcel, young and excitable, is suffering the scorn of his father. During a fight he is thrown by his pregnant girlfriend from the apartment. At home he is unwanted. He is looking for a foothold in his life. For a short time, it is encouraging, until each goes back to his own direction.
