Fueled by tragedy, lonely teenager Frank embarks on a journey across the Irish country guided only by an antique compass. Passing from city to countryside, Frank finds himself on the brink of lovesick induced self-destruction, but is pulled back into reality by the care of adolescent hermit Red. With Red’s help Frank is able to reassess his life and just where he should be running to as opposed to away from. At the end of his journey he is faced with a choice - keep the fire of his love alive, or simply become another of the disappeared.
