This found footage film provides a peek into what it’s like to be a young adult who struggles with mental health. All voices featured in the film are from interviews conducted by the maker of the film, who is under 18, with persons under the age of 18 who struggle with mental health. Using 35 mm stock footage from an online archive and deliberate editing, the goal of the film is to give a voice to the real and valid lived experiences of teens with mental illness, in a society where our voices are often silenced or disregarded. Using solely the voices of the interviewee in combination with found footage, the viewer may truly focus on understanding what it’s like to live with mental illness.
