After DNA finds Sean innocent 30 years into a life sentence, Sean refuses the help of the state to get him safely integrated back into society. He struggles to adapt to the changes of the modern world: price increases, the speed of cars, the obsession with technology, how supermarket’s operate. He also realises what he cannot have a family, and his friends from before have all moved on, he is alone again. As the media report he is in line for a £1 million pound compensation pay out, drug dealer Gary tries to gain Sean’s business by befriending him and giving him free drugs. Sean manages to escape the dealers’ wrath in time, but in doing so, puts his welfare into the state’s hands. |
