Shadows is a film based on true events and delivers a story about the fate of the assassinator of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. This assassination is one of the most significant events in the history of mankind because it served as a alleged motive for for the beginning of, what would later turn out to be, the greatest war the world has ever seen to that moment. This is a movie about young men who inscribed his name in the pages of history for eternity. The storyline covers the period after the assassination and it is set in the Czech prison Terezin, where the assassinator was sent to serve a twenty-year sentence. The events inside the prison reveal the character of the assassinator, his psychological state, motives which drove him and his bitter struggle, not only with the guards but also with himself. Shadows talks about human kindness which can be find anywhere and which is above nationality and affiliation to one side.
