The Zen of a mosh pit is known to few brave men and even fewer daring women but to everyone else it is a brutal and aggressive place full of pain and injury. This doc will present the phenomenon of ‘the pit’ from an insiders perspective studying human behavior and the psychology of a Mosher, the physical nature of the pit, psychology of aggressive tendencies and mob mentalities, and the unlikely community that arises from it. Expert interviews coupled with actual footage, entertaining examples, and creative reenactments will bring to light a better understanding of what compels us to mosh and what actually goes on in the pit. In the end, it is revealed that all interviewed experts are also Moshers themselves and we have a better understanding why and how we mosh. |
