How many people have you seen die in movies? Hundreds. Thousands even. Overwhelmingly, as soon as they’ve kicked the bucket, their story has ended, and we move on. Yet, that’s a pretty serious body count someone has had to take care of for all these years. What happened to all those guys who got in Rambo’s way, or who caught a bullet in Die Hard? What about the Sopranos? Or Scarface? Murder is messy, and surely someone has to clean it up. And so began Rodney, a dark comedy about the moment after the moment you pull the trigger, because it only takes a second to kill someone, but figuring out what to do next can feel like a lifetime. |
