The Love Scene (2013)

The story of this film is about a famous Iranian actress who leaves her country in order to act in a Hollywood feature film. The plot of the movie she is playing is based on a famous novel, written by a renowned Iranian female writer, who was a close friend of the actress. The writer is imprisoned in Iran for writing this novel and subsequently dies in jail, as the result of a hunger strike. Because of the explicit love scenes in the film, the actress is abandoned from her own community. This film shows the destructive power of taboo which the artists face in Middle-East.
