In respect of the aggressive fighting styles that have emerged in competition over the last 15 years, Ultimate fighting, mixed martial arts, etc etc, the art of fundamental American boxing seems to have lost some of it’s appreciation values. There is however a strong young adult following among the college crowd that appear to be on a sojourn of sorts over the last 10 years….to bring back this long lost sport on the collegiate level. This short film/documentary is a voice put forth on their behalf. 35 division I schools have ‘club teams’ that have re-organized and arrived and competing again. The NCAA needs 50 schools to reinstate boxing as ‘an emerging sport.’ -cf |
