In 1939 Richie returns home to Baltimore, MD to his wife Anna and infant son after fighting against the Fascists in the Spanish Civil War. His war buddy James finds him a job working in a cannery. Anna works at her uncle Otto’s deli alongside James’ wife Tracy. Haunted by his past Richie struggles to assimilate into daily life and distances himself from those around him. Forced to face the fact that he killed his best friend turned traitor during the war he must decide to take responsibility and take care of his family. |
