Drum Beats is a triptych documentary featuring three unlikely drummers—a stay at home mom from Hong Kong, a 9 year old boy and his proper but hard rockin’ mother, and a paint bucket drummer ‘turning over lids’ on the 3rd street promenade in Santa Monica for tips. Each one takes us through the beats of the stories that drew them to the drum kit and challenges us to rethink the prerequisites for making music. |
