Like modern society itself,the spectacle is at once united and divided. In both, unity is grounded in a split (From Guy Debord’s The Society of the Spectacle). In today’s world there are multiple things trying to grab one’s attention each moment. In this short film, the screen is split into four parts, corresponding to four genres of movie making, if you will: Meditational, Voyeuristic, Pornographic and Suspense, in an experiment for the viewer to see which one will grab and sustain his or her attention. One may also think of it as a film using sexploitation, suspense and voyeur to show a powerful element of nature, a beautiful waterfall!
