Heinz, a geek, is trying to track down a lost article he wrote on the Internet. Jim, a nerd, is trying to help him. By following the cable that connects their computer to the rest of the world, they embark on a mystical journey to the very end of the Internet itself. On the way Jim lends his philosophical opinions on Death, data loss and the true meaning of immortality, while Heinz tells Jim about his blog for people who fail at both computers and life. Inspired by Tarkovsky’s ‘Stalker’, ‘Critical Error =True’ is a strange mix of truth and fiction, a photo-montage animation and tongue-in-cheek picture story told in increasingly compressed jpeg images. It’s a comedy. |
