bad as you think. An evil Regent rules a province after the death of it's King, since the King's sister and young child cannot rule. gladiators fight in an arena and one likable chap in a fit of defiance hurls his sword at The Evil Regent but instead kills an assassin that JUST HAPPENS to be attacking the Regent, looking like a hero. He is promoted with his friend to the royal guard where they chase a band of outlaws that turn out to be led by the King's pretty sister. The regent will spare her if she marries him. Yuck. Meanwhile our hero is dissatisfied with the way the Regent wields his power and plots to overthrow him. This plot however, is foiled when our Hero is summarily seized and arrested after he miraculously returns from the cliffs where the young boy-King was supposedly killed in the water. On his way down to the tombs, the Gladiator sees his fellow compatriots in cells, including the Trainer of the Gladiators whom was thought to be a member of the Royal circle. It's clobbering time as He frees himself of his escort and likely will free his friends and attack the palace guards.... review; not bad at all, except for the age of the film and the often drop-outs of color, you will truly root for this asshole regent to be killed like a dog, he's such a dick. Probably a great addition to a film archive except for the price
