It's 1965 and the U.S. space program is off to a good start but one of our astronauts is missing! A lost space capsule came down in the woods near Chicago, but the pilot is nowhere to be found. Suddenly, a radioactive 10-foot giant in as pace suit appears and begins terrorizing the nearby community. Is there a connection? Scientists and Military Intelligence must find the monster and solve the mystery before every bikini-wearing , Watusi-dancing girl in the area meets he demise! This ambitious film was begun in 1961 by Bill Rebane. Originally titled "Terror at Half Day" funds ran out so Herschell Gordon Lewis turned Bill's would be Science Fiction movie into this cult classic. Some say it is the worst movie ever made, but I bet they have not seen "Night of the Lepus" or Day of the Triffids". Either way this is a joy to watch for so many reasons. ...more
