Matlock (2024)
magically_delicious 1 points 2 months ago*.

This is actually a remake of the much beloved Matlock 1996 https://www.primewire.tf/tv/27793-matlock starring Andy Griffith! (Haha joking!! That’s a rumour! It’s a gender-flipping re-boot, of sorts.) Kathy Bates announced when taking this role that it will be her last as she will then be retiring from acting. She looks really healthy and fit and I cannot wait to binge it! Thanks everyone who commented!

She’s pure sociopath. Watch her carefully; she’s cold, practiced and never sheds a tear, but makes all the faces, whilst peeking up to assess her performance.

Australian Survivor (2002) S4 E1
dampyiel2200 1 points 2 months ago.

Hold on a second a game of survivor about actual game play and not people’s stories or sad backstories? Everyone being cut throat and actually playing the game. Sign me up. Not sure if I think this is so much better than the USA version because it’s older and they haven’t copied the USA format yet. Or aussie survivor is in fact better.

Double Blind (2024)
CJ'sGirl 3 points 2 months ago.

I felt like I was part of the experiment. The first 10 minutes was good before it just fell off of a cliff. It may have made a good short, I liked the idea. The acting and pacing was just bad. I spent most of the first half yelling at the screen that they should do something to help themselves. The big pharma message was tired, and the ending was meh.

magically_delicious 1 points 2 months ago.

I completely agree. It did a complete 180 into another genre and made no sense whatsoever. A foreshadow of “something else” by the writers and director could have helped, but the actors all seemed lost in aimless improv. It was a complete waste.

After he gets home from writing the paper with his landlords wife , you see him at the sink scrubbing crazy on a teflon pan it is obvious he never knew or seen anybody that had starch, cheese or egg buildup on a pan.
You just add cold water and a drop of soap stir and let it sit while doing the other things to clean and organize the apartment.

The writers are sadistic f*cks. One of the old writers wrote for LOST that sucked donkey balls. They just make shit up as they go for as long as the money keeps coming and they will end the series on a cliff hanger before getting cancelled.

Fun fact:
Charlie Hunnam will star in “Monster” Season 3 at Netflix as notorious serial killer Ed Gein.
Series co-creator Ryan Murphy made the announcement onstage during a promotional event in Los Angeles for “Monster” Season 2, which focuses on the Menendez brothers and the murder of their parents. The first season of the anthology series focused on serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

I have. I’m on the last episode. It’s pure drama, though, about loss and grief and the mental, emotional and psychological effects of that combined with losing a child. It’s wrapped in a shroud of mystery, but really isn’t a mystery at all. I’ve enjoyed it, but it’s heartbreaking.

not sure “making fun” of is the take away or who “they” are, but comedy is often there to relieve the stress of dealing with those who take themselves too seriously…

true,if its evenly played out,but in this case only the religions, which are not defending violently itself, are the targets

Very good short film and definitly a great debut for Coralie Fargeat. The Trailer above is the full short film you can find on Youtube:

You will find quite a lot of similarities to The Substance which looks to me was heavily written off this short film.

They need to stop covering for Tiffany, she should have been fired a few episodes ago when she put the team in danger going into that warehouse. Hakim may be dead now but she’s still a loose cannon and someone on the team is going to pay for it eventually.

I like. Some characters seem to fit stereotypes, but that might change once we get to know them better. Seriousness and funny wittiness of the main character, Kathy Bates, who is a great actress, is well balanced. Nice twist at the end.
