That’s because grass has nothing to do with pollination, unless there is dandelions. Flowers are needed. There are some wasps, like mud daubers, that like to burrow in the ground. Not sure if they would get in a decent lawn, but Mowing might help keep them away.
yes it allows many flowers to grow that I have not seen since my childhood to grow. Like blue bells and buttercups and yes tons of dandelions
